Sedation Dentistry

It’s no secret, Americans get nervous about dental appointments – so much so that they will delay or avoid treatment altogether in some cases.

Everybody wants painless dentistry. Everybody wants gentle care. When you enter your dentist’s office, you should only feel calm, relaxed, and confident. At iDental Group, we aspire to make your experience as gentle and painless as possible, from beginning to end we aim to offer exceptional, gentle dentistry. Whether you are visiting us for wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, basic dental care, or any other services, at iDental Group we are here to ensure your experience is the best one possible. If need be, virtually all of your dental services can be performed with sedation to achieve that painless dentistry experience you deserve. Visit iDental Group to experience a new meaning in dental care!

We use certain medications to help patients relax during dental procedures. The different levels of sedation we offer are:

  • Minimal Sedation: You are awake, but relaxed.
  • Moderate Sedation: You may slur your words when speaking and not remember much of the procedure.
  • Deep Sedation: You are on the edge of consciousness but can still be awakened.

At iDental Group, regardless of what type of sedation you receive, it will always be complimentary for our members. We will perform every dental service with sedation if needed, to make your experience the best one possible. Our hygiene rooms and operatories are equipped with laughing gas, which is placed over your nose during the procedure. The gas will help you feel relaxed and tends to wear off quickly. Your dentist will control the amount of sedation you receive. This is the only form of sedation where you may be able to drive yourself home after your appointment.

For the more apprehensive patient, oral sedation would be more beneficial. This will be a pill or a liquid that is usually taken an hour before the procedure. This pill will make you feel drowsy, although you will still be awake. Some patients fall asleep during the procedure and can be awakened with a gentle stimulus. Oral sedation is also always complimentary to all iDental Group members.

Thanks to sedation, dentistry can now be painless dentistry, and that is exactly what we want to deliver to each of our patients! There is no excuse to keep putting off the dental treatment you need. With our many forms of sedation, any dental procedure will be a breeze. Call us today to schedule your next visit!
