Broken Tooth

A tooth can chip or break for several reasons. You may have bit down on something hard, fell down, got hit or knocked in the mouth, or simply just have a weak tooth. Sometimes, we don’t even feel the tooth break, but later feel the rough edges in your mouth with the tongue.
If you cannot get to the dentist right away, iDental recommends rinsing the mouth with warm water and applying gauze to the affected area if there is any blood. To relieve pain, go to the store and purchase an over-the-counter painkiller and ice pack to reduce swelling. Make an appointment to be seen as soon as possible.

Knocked Out Tooth

A knocked-out tooth is a serious dental emergency. After a tooth has been knocked out, its surrounding areas—the nerves, blood vessels, and tissues—are all damaged and at risk. If you are unable to get to an emergency dentist right away, here’s what you should do:

Toothache

Toothaches are fairly common and almost never go away by themselves. Instead, they get worse over time and need care from an emergency dentist. When you are experiencing a toothache, remember there is always an underlying reason to your pain. This may be due to tooth decay, gum disease, or an infected tooth. Until you can come see us in Miami, Coconut Creek or any of our other locations, try an over-the-counter pain reliever and make an appointment as soon as possible.

Dentures

If your full or partial dentures do not feel comfortable, they may need to be adjusted, relined or rebased. At iDental, our dentists will be happy to make any necessary adjustments to your full or partial dentures to get you feeling comfortable again.
